What makes Chikito's Yorkies different?
We conduct extensive research on our bloodlines and perform comprehensive health testing on all of our adult dogs before they are introduced into our breeding program. This ensures they are free from genetic conditions commonly associated with the Yorkshire Terrier breed and allows us to confidently provide a health guarantee. Our goal is for your puppy to enjoy a long, healthy, and fulfilling life.
A detailed contract is provided at the time your puppy is reserved. All puppies receive age or size-appropriate dewormings and vaccinations as well as Veterinary health check prior to going home.
From day one, we begin working with each puppy using Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), an AKC-supported program designed to promote resilience and healthy development. Puppy socialization starts with the breeder, and we place a strong emphasis on early learning. All puppies are pee pad trained as soon as they begin walking, and we actively work on corrective behaviors and essential socialization skills. We've had quite a few of our puppies become ESA/Disabled Service dogs.
We are dedicated to ensuring a smooth transition from our home to yours and will provide you with the guidance and tools needed for continued success. Our commitment to our puppies is lifelong so should you ever be unable to care for your dog, we ask that you contact us first. We will always welcome our puppies back into our home.

Welcoming a new family member should be a joyful and memorable experience and not a stressful one. We are committed to making this journey as smooth and positive as possible for your family. Every aspect of our program is designed with one priority in mind: the safety and well-being of your puppy.
We work closely with each family to thoughtfully match our puppies based on sex, size, and personality to ensure the best possible fit. For the protection of both our puppies and ourselves, we do not allow in-home visits; however, we provide weekly photos and videos and are happy to arrange FaceTime calls. We remain in close communication with you throughout the entire process. We understand this is an emotional and exciting time, and our goal is to make it a moment you will always remember. Your new baby is worth the wait, we promise!
We are happy to meet families locally on pickup day, at BWI/Baltimore Airport, or within a one-hour radius. We also offer a nanny service to your nearest major airport for an additional fee of $600–$800. This service includes the airline-approved carrier (yours to keep), the puppy’s plane ticket, parking, and all travel arrangements, plus a well-deserved cup of coffee for the nanny.
